Luminar came to me looking for help in targeting students. The brief was literally ‘Go and think of a way they could improve footfall during student nights at our large multi-room venues such as the Oceana and Liquid nightclub brands.'
I pitched the idea of creating a festival atmosphere within the clubs using their multi-room format in a similar way festivals use tents or stages. With different genres of music and live acts appearing simultaneously within the same venue.
With tongue firmly in cheek I called the event ‘bandwagon’. The client loved the concept has been rolled out in 18 Luminar clubs including their newest flagship venue Oceana in Swansea.
